Years 7/8 County Tennis
Finals
School tennis players from across the county came to the
Next Generation Centre in Swindon to compete at the county finals. The schools
had previously won their zone competition and had the chance to compete against
other schools within the county to become crowned champions. The Girl's
competition saw South Wilts, Kingdown and Ridgeway compete against each other,
while in the Boy's competition, Ridgeway, Avon Valley and St Augustine's
battled it out amongst each other.
The excellent
facilities and playing surface at Next Generation were appreciated by the
pupils. This was evident on the courts with some great tennis on show,
including great individual shots and team rallies. The Girl's competition was
won by South Wilts from the South Zone who won both their matches. Kingdown
came second with Ridgeway in third place. |
